1996, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington: Bigfoot Seen Foraging with Large Stick
Toni Boni was hiking around Gifford Pinchot National Forest when she came upon a startling sight. Just on the other side of a small creek, she saw a bulky animal man form hunched over a pile of wet leaves.
Toni crept closer. She thought it may have been a hunter who lost a contact lens, but as she got closer she was overwhelmed by powerful stench. As her nose filled with the pungent odor, she realized that she was almost face to nose with a genuine Bigfoot.
Toni saw that the creature was using a large smooth stick to forage around the pile of wet leaves. It seemed to be pick at slugs and other gross insects and putting them in a small pile next to its large feet.
Totally disgusted, Toni crept away.

Jason Hawes was hiking in Olympic National Park when he came upon a Bigfoot slowly walking along in the woods.

Hawes took out his camera and snapped over 20 really great photographs of the monster.

“They were really great clear pictures, you could even count the hairs on the Bigfoot’s back,” Hawes claims.

But sadly, the world will never see these photographs, because shortly after taking them, Hawes smoked a lot of dope in celebration. Sometime after Hawes lost his camera. It may have fallen down a crevice. It might have dropped in a stream. Hawes might have left it sitting on a log.

Hawes was so stoned he does not remember.

1991, Trail of Two Forests, Washington: Bigfoot Cave Discovered

Eric Petersen was hiking about on the Trail of Two Forests. He came upon a hole in the ground, slightly off the trail, that he had never seen before. So Petersen stopped to investigate it.

Petersen slowly crawled into the new cave. He could tell that the cave was recently evacuated, because of the loose dirt and smell of fresh earth. The cave was filled with bones and car side mirrors. There was a bed of leaves in the corner. And there was a strong odor of animal body musk.

Petersen was certain that he was in a Bigfoot lair and not a homeless person’s nest. The large footprints and strings of hair that were clinging to the rocks around the bed of leaves were tell tale signs of the creature.

Petersen thought to wait to see if the creature returned to his lair, but as night began to fall, the possibility of being alone in the dark with a sleepy Bigfoot did not appeal to Petersen.

1977, Conconully State Park, Washington: Woman Claims Bigfoot Kidnapped Her

Early in the morning, a disheveled and confused Bernice Rutenbar, stumbled out of the woods into a Conconully campsite. Rutenbar’s clothes were in tatters and her hair was matted and full of twigs.

Rutenbar claimed that she had be grabbed out of her sleeping bag about 90 days ago by a Bigfoot. The creature took her to his lair, where it made her his wife. Rutenbar had to have relations with the beast, clean up, and prepare food that the monster brought back to the cave.

Rutenbar was unable to escape because the Bigfoot rolled a big boulder in front of the cave opening when it left for the day. After many days of torment and nights alone, Rutenbar was able to escape when the Bigfoot left a hole in the cave entrance.

Rutenbar wandered around for a day or two before finding the campsites. There was no physical evidence that Rutenbar had been violated by a Bigfoot, nor was she able to locate the cave she claims she escaped from. She was able to sell the rights of her story to a seedy paperback novelist who published a book called, “Bigfoot, My Husband,” which was loosely based on the Rutenbar tale.

1997, Colville National Forest, Washington: Bigfoot Wounded By Gunman

Carl Smith was hiking deep in Colville Forest, when he saw a Bigfoot hiding behind a tree a few hundred feet in front of him.

Smith, an avid gun enthusiast, always carried a pistol while hiking, alone in the woods. Smith considered the fame and wealth he could achieve if he killed that Bigfoot and brought it to public attention. So he unholstered his weapon, carefully crept closer to his target, aimed and fired three quick shots at the beast.

The Bigfoot screamed in pain and blood splattered across the trees, so Smith knew he hit the creature. It turned and looked at him with the saddest, most disappointed eyes ever, before scrambling away. Amazed at the Bigfoot’s speed, Smith could not get another volley off at the monster.

Smith examined the spot where the Bigfoot was wounded. Hair and skin and blood were plastered on the leaves and fallen twigs. Smith is sure that it was a mere flesh wound and that the Bigfoot survived, no problem.

Smith tried to sell his story, but it turns out that most people thought he was a jerk for trying to kill the elusive creature.

2011, Capitol State Forest, Washington: Bigfoot Chases Shadow People

Trevor Reichard was in Capitol State Forest waiting for a friend to bring him something in a box. While Trevor smoked his third cigarette, he heard a tremendous crash then saw three blurry figures rush by. The figures barely had and shape, but still looked like people. Shadows of people.

Then a second later, a huge Bigfoot came plowing through the underbrush. The Bigfoot was racing full speed, all its focus was on those floating, shadow figures.

Reichard watched as the Bigfoot continued to chase the shadow figures, even when they flew into the trees and seemed about to take off into the sky. The massive creature leaped into the trees and swung like Tarzan from tree to tree.

To this day, Reichard is not sure what those shadow people were, but he is convinced that Bigfoot is on our side against them.

1993, Tumwater, Washington: Boy Goes Missing From Campsite

John and Holly Sandstrom had planned for 8 months to take their 11 year old son Paul camping in the Cascades. The family enjoyed nearly a week of swimming, hiking, and canoeing.

On their fourth night there, Holly was awakened by a loud noise outside their tent. She heard rustling, like someone was trying to commando crawl through the bushes, followed by heavy grunting breathing. Fearing for the safety of her family, she woke up her husband. But by the time he sat up, Holly no longer heard the noises outside.

The fifth night, Holly insisted on staying in Paul’s tent, much to his chagrin. The night passed without incident.

The final night the family was scheduled to camp, Holly agreed she would let Paul sleep alone in his own tent. The next morning, Holly and John woke up to find that Paul, his tent, and almost all his clothes were gone. Disappeared.

The Sandstrom family continues to look for their son. Though Holly is convinced Paul was taken by a mountain creature of some sort, probably a Bigfoot. John has not ruled out his wife as the culprit. She never really liked the boy.

1994, Bogachiel State Park, Washington: Bird Watcher Finds Handprint

Birdwatcher Loni Lewis was out in Bogachiel Park scanning the trees for birds. She kept checking her field guide, making a small dot next to each bird that she came across.

It was a beautiful day.

After seeing a lovely Chukar fly off from a low branch, Lewis went to make a make in her guide, when she noticed something odd and out of place. She saw a large muddy hand print wrapped around the trunk of the tree.

This was not a normal hand print either. It was gigantic. The finger size and length was much too wide and long for a human. And that width of the palm was just about the size of Loni’s whole head.

Loni mentioned to a Park Ranger friend of hers and the ranger told her several campers discovered similar prints as well as footprints. The campers were convinced that a Bigfoot had made them.

Loni Lewis is not so sure.

1969, Ross Lake, Washington: Campers See Blurs in the Trees

While camping with his family, Bill George Rochon, claims that he saw something moving around the tops of the trees.

Rochon tells how after his family went to sleep, he sat up near the dying camp fire smoking his pipe. He heard the trees rustling and whipping around like they would during a storm. But there wasn’t a cloud in the sky nor a hint of a breeze.

Rochon stood up and moved toward the noises. That is when he saw several large ape sized blurs jump from tree to tree. They were almost silent, except for the sound they made launching and landing.

Rochon grew concerned for his family. He thought about shouting or throwing stones at the blurs, but then thought better of it. Since whatever was in those trees, seemed to be minding its own business.

Rochon finished his pipe and went to bed. The next day, he told his family about what he witnessed. His son Georgie was convinced his dad saw some baby Bigfoot.

1972, Mt. Shuksan, Washington: Bigfoot Scares Campers with Tree Shaking

Mark Johson and his family of four were camping in the Mt. Shuksan area of Washington state. They planned this trip for a year and were two days into their vacation.

After turning in for the night around 8:30 PM, the three children playing a card game in their shared tent. Mark and his wife enjoyed some alone time in their tent. The family was startled when the tree next to their camp site began to shake violently. Not just the branches, but the entire tree.

The entire family emerged from their tents to see the tree ripple and quake like a punching bag hit by a professional boxer. When Mark walked around the tree to see what caused this shaking, he came face to chest with a huge Bigfoot. The creature was pounding the tree with both enormous fists.

Mark stood there in shock as the Bigfoot turned to consider this puny human. It looked Mark up and down, howled at the top of its lungs then slowly walked off into the woods.

It took Mark a few weeks to be able to speak about what he saw on the other side of the tree. His family believed it was really a bear he saw, but never had the courage to say it to their father’s face.
