1996, Red Rock Canyon, Oklahoma: Rock Climbing Bigfoot

Omar Hughes and Joe Plates were getting ready for a fun day of rock climbing in Red Rock Canyon, when Hughes shouted for Plates to look up at the side of the cliff.

Among the red rock, slowly scaling upward, was a huge brown figure. Hairy and damp looking. For such a large, bulky figure it seemed to scale the rock face with great ease.

Plates pointed out the size of the creature’s feet, which despite their size, gripped to the rocks with great power and agility.

Both seasoned rock climbers were incredibly impressed by the Bigfoot’s rock climbing ability. They watched the creature scale the entire cliff until it disappeared over the top.

Hughes and Plates attempted to retrace the route that the Bigfoot used, but found it was too steep and impassable, which further impressed them.

1993, Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee: Bigfoot Carries Windowpane

Bodie Cisco was hiking around Tom Town in the Great Smoky Mountains.  He stopped to look at a small critter rustling in the bushes. When a small chipmunk scurried out and ran right past him, he started laughing.

Just as Cisco turned to resume his hike, he heard a heavy sigh. He stopped dead in his tracks thinking that there were other people about. Just as he was about to call out a friendly “Hello,” he saw the Bigfoot stomping along.

Cisco froze. He watched in a combination of horror and curiosity. The oddest thing about this Bigfoot was that it was carrying a full window pane. The window looked like it had been ripped right off the side of a house. The creature carried it under its massive arm.

Cisco watched the monster until it was out of sight. He is pretty sure that Bigfoot did not even notice he was there, it was soooo focused on getting that windowpane to where ever it was going. To this day, Cisco has no idea what that Bigfoot wanted with that window.

2006, Bradford Woods, Indiana: Kids See Bigfoot

A group of ten summer campers were having their last camping outing before the end of their session. They were just getting done with a team building exercise when one of the little girls excitedly cried out.

“Hey everybody, look at THAT guy!” she shouted pointing at a large creature slowly walking by the far end of their camp site.

All the other children raced over to see what the little girl was pointing at. Some of the little boys wanted to run over and meet that thing, but their camp councilor yelled for everyone to come back and line up.

The rest of the day the children were inventing stories about the Bigfoot they were all convinced they had just seen. The camp councilors though were not as convinced as the children, that it was, in fact, a bigfoot.

1973, Seven Mile Creek, Ohio: Couple Finds Bigfoot Leg

Dustin and Emily Littlestone were walking their dog, Tiger, along the Seven Mile Creek trail, when they stumbled upon a gruesome discovery.

Tiger started pulling and yelping at his leash. He was trying to get over to a strangely bent and twisted fallen tree. Dustin, the more indulgent of the dog’s owners, walked over to the tree to see what Tiger was so interested in.

Immediately, Dustin called out for Emily to come over. As usual, she was hesitant and questioned him about what he saw. Dustin replied that she really needed to see this.

Once Emily, finally, walked over she gasped with disgust. Laying in the leaves and muck as a dismembered leg. It was almost a foot wide, and covered in course reddish brown hair. The couple determined that it was a Bigfoot leg by the tremendous size of the foot attached to the severed leg.

Dustin wanted to collect it and bring it to the authorities. But Emily told him to stop being stupid. Tiger seemed intent upon chewing it.

2014, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas: Hikers See Bigfoot Tower

Joe and Don Pierce were hiking the Devil’s Hall Trail in the Guadalupe Mountains when they were stopped dead in their tracks. About 500 yards from where they stopped they saw something they still don’t believe they saw.

There were three Bigfoot building a wooden tower. Or a sort of tower. One Bigfoot was sitting on the shoulders of another Bigfoot while the third Bigfoot was passing them up large tree trunks. It was clear to the Pierce Brothers that these Bigfoot were organized and had built something like this before.

The brothers watched for a while before the Bigfoot on top saw them. It made a strange clicking growl and they three Bigfoot sprinted away.

Joe and Don took several pictures of the tower with their phones but the images where lost when the phones were destroyed later on their vacation.

2001, Sweetwater River Campground, Wyoming: Hiker Terrorized In Tree

While hiking around Sweetwater River Park, Nick Pontsingle claims he was chased by a Bigfoot. Pontsingle claims the monster came lumbering out of the bushes holding a big branch that it swung back and forth at Pontsingle.

The Bigfoot was growling and inching closer and closer to Pontsingle, who was standing very still. It became clear that the Bigfoot intended to swat Pontsingle with the branch, so he turned and ran away.

Pontsingle clambered up a tree, hoping to escape the rushing Bigfoot. As Pontsingle climbed high into the branches, the Bigfoot stood under the tree and growled and waved its hairy arms. The creature would try shake the tree. Would leave for a few minutes, returning with rocks that it knocked on the trunk. When that didn’t work the Bigfoot left, it returned with a large stick that it tried stabbing into the upper branches.

In the two hours that Pontsingle was trapped in the tree, the Bigfoot tried several other ways to shake him out of the tree. Never did the Bigfoot try to climb up after him. This, Pontsingle, believes is because the Bigfoot was afraid of heights.

Eventually, around sundown the Bigfoot sighed heavily, turned and left the area.

1983, Castlewood Canyon State Park, Colorado: Bigfoot Bothered by Reflection

Lee John Horton was 11 years old when his parents took him to Castlewood Canyon. He was super bored and acting out. So parents made him sit on a rock near a little creek and waterfall, while the hiked around.

Horton was wearing a brand new watch. It was a bit too big for him and he thought it was heavy on his wrist so he took it off. That is when he noticed that the back of the watch face reflected the sun brilliantly.

As he played around aiming the reflection along the rocks and hitting the waterfall, he noticed a creature’s head. At first he thought it was just a beaver, but then it turned and he saw its face. Horton knew he was looking a Bigfoot sitting among the rocks.

Instead of being frightened, Horton aimed his watch reflection at the Bigfoot. It took a few minutes to get the aim just right, but finally Horton managed to get the reflection right in the face of the monster.

After a few minutes, of swatting its huge paws around and rubbing its face, the Bigfoot stood up to its full height. It looked over toward Horton, how threw himself flat among the rocks, trying to hide. Horton heard a WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as the Bigfoot screamed at him in agitation.

When Horton peaked his head up, the Bigfoot was gone. To this day, Horton still does not feel bad about teasing the gentle Bigfoot.
