2001, Frontenac State Park, Minnesota: Church Lady Finds Tracks

Church pastor, Miss Janice Pritchett claims that she found Bigfoot tracks in the mud around the shore of Lake Pepin in Frontenac Park. She was unable to photograph them, even though she says she took several good shots of the impressions with her expensive new camera.

When she got the film developed the footprints did not come out. Those pictures were completely black. Pritchett attributes this to the demonic power she thinks Bigfoot possesses. Pritchett often preaches about the ancient evil that threatens her congregants. So no one was surprised or alarmed by her lack of photographic proof.

Ernie Franklin owned a house near Sabine National Forest in Hemphill, Texas. His small ranch home was nearly isolated down a single lane road. Franklin started composting in a bin outside his kitchen window. As he prepared his meals he would just scrape the unwanted food into the bin.

After a few weeks, Franklin grew tired of cleaning up his yard after various animals got into the compost bin. So he got rid of it.

About a week after he stopped the food composting, he was abruptly woken in the middle of the night by a thumping on his roof. He grabbed his shot gun and rushed outside to see what was on his roof. He just caught a glimpse of a dark figure leap off the sloping one story roof.

Shining his flashlight around for about 10 minutes, Franklin was convinced the animal was gone. He went back inside. But he was unable to go back to sleep because the rest of the night rocks hit his roof and there was a bloodcurdling howl from right outside his house.

In the morning, Franklin found Bigfoot prints in the dirt around his house. He figures that the Bigfoot came to rely upon his compost bin and when it found it gone, it grew frustrated and angry. After that one night, the Bigfoot never returned.

Jonathan Rennie claims that while hunting he took a pretty good shot at a Bigfoot. Sometime around daybreak, Rennie heard some gentle rustling in the brush ahead of him. He took aim with his rifle, waiting to see what might be digging around in the undergrowth. He was surprised when a manlike figure emerged from the shadows. Rennie started to lower his gun, then realized that the figure that stood before him was not human. For one thing it was nearly seven feet tall and covered in a filthy matted fur. Without any more hesitation, Rennie fired off a shot. But he missed. The shot hit the side of the tree next to the Bigfoot, who took no time to run from the area. Rennie heard howling the rest of the day which he accounted for spooking all the animals away.

While taking an after lunch hike in Kettle Moraine Forest, Eric Searles claims he was nearly knocked over by a rushing Bigfoot.

“There I was just walking through the forest, when straight from behind a couple trees comes this large brown creature running straight at me,” Searles recounted over the phone, “I barely had time to register it as anything other than a brown blur.”

“But as the creature rushed past me, first I smelled it’s horrible oniony body stink, then as it towered over me, I knew it was a Bigfoot. There had been a rash of sightings of the guy for about a month. I am not sure where he was going in such a hurry, but he nearly knocked me over.”

Searles claims that he was too shocked to try and follow the Bigfoot. He claims he was not frightened at all by the encounter.

Dr. Gordon Bannon began a series of audio experiments in the Cliff Dwellings on this day. Dr. Bannon claims that he heard and recorded 17 different Bigfoot cries from within the cave. Without the use of any audio recording equipment, Dr. Bannon parroted the noises he claimed to have heard.

He published several papers theorizing that a tribe of Bigfoot still lived within the Cliffs. He held weekend seminars that became infamous because Dr. Bannon would hoot and coo and wave his arms about while demonstrating the various types of Bigfoot calls. Eventually, Dr. Bannon became something of a laughing stock and could not walk down the public street without children mocking him and housewives casting aspersions.

Dr. Bannon never recanted and died while working on an oral history of the Cliff Tribes.
