1993, Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee: Bigfoot Carries Windowpane

Bodie Cisco was hiking around Tom Town in the Great Smoky Mountains.  He stopped to look at a small critter rustling in the bushes. When a small chipmunk scurried out and ran right past him, he started laughing.

Just as Cisco turned to resume his hike, he heard a heavy sigh. He stopped dead in his tracks thinking that there were other people about. Just as he was about to call out a friendly “Hello,” he saw the Bigfoot stomping along.

Cisco froze. He watched in a combination of horror and curiosity. The oddest thing about this Bigfoot was that it was carrying a full window pane. The window looked like it had been ripped right off the side of a house. The creature carried it under its massive arm.

Cisco watched the monster until it was out of sight. He is pretty sure that Bigfoot did not even notice he was there, it was soooo focused on getting that windowpane to where ever it was going. To this day, Cisco has no idea what that Bigfoot wanted with that window.

1994, Seiad Valley, California: Hiker Hears Stone Knocks

Monty Christopher told his grandson, Tom Christopher, about the time in 1994 when he was hiking through Seiad Valley on his way along the Pacific Crest trail. It was near dusk and Christopher stopped to tie up his boot again.

That is when Monty heard the stone clacking. At first he thought maybe there was a rock slide somewhere nearby. But then the knocking became too rhythmic. It sounded like someone or some thing clapping two large rocks together and alternating banging them on a tree.  The knocking went on for nearly 20 minutes.

When Monty described the sounds to a fellow hiker, they told him it was not uncommon to hear in the valley, since it was a way for the Bigfoot to communicate. Monty was suspicious, but did some research and found out this to be true.

Sam Kinder was hiking in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park around dusk. Kinder said he heard a slow drip up ahead.

“It sounded like when you empty a can of soup into the pan, that sort of long sluck,” Kinder reported.

As he approached the sound he saw that there was a whitish, goo dripping from the branches uphead.

“I seen enough horror movies, where the hillbilly goes and sticks his fingers or s stick into the alien goop and it scoots up that stick and starts taking over his body. I didn’t go near it,” Kinder said.

Instead, Kinder walked around the trees where the goop dripped down. When pressed to explain the origin of the slime, Kinder simply smiles and says, “Bigfoot, obviously.”

While hiking the two mile loop in Mohican Park, Eddie Fricks stopped at the top of Clear Fork Gorge. While sitting for a minute and watching the low flow falls of Big Lyons Falls, Fricks saw a human-like figure emerge from the shadows. 80 feet below him, Fricks could make out the matted brown hair, the large bulbous nose, and the massive bare feet of a Bigfoot.

The creature did not see him or did not care enough to acknowledge Fricks. It went up to the small stream of water falling from the top of the Gorge. It stood directly under the falls and with its head back began gulping down the water. Fricks could see the rows of massive, sharp teeth and the enlarged red tongue as the creature lapped at the water hitting its face.

Fricks sat in place, too frightened to move he admits willingly, watching the Bigfoot until it slowly ambled away. Once Fricks was certain it left the area, he got up and walked briskly the rest of the way back to safety.

1990, Lava Beds National Monument, California: Hiker Discovers Bigfoot Cave Art

Experienced caver John Stromberg was exploring a series of interconnected caves in Lava Beds National Monument. He was mapping the cave system for his own amusement.

As he diligently made his way through the caverns, he came upon chamber that took his breath away.

He came upon three walls worth of elaborate cave art. All of it carved and colored with berry stains. The figures seemed to depict a tribe of hairy, ape creatures as they moved across a great expanse.

Stromberg immediately understood that he came upon a sacred spot for an ancient tribe of Bigfoot. He sat down and copied the carvings the best he could, detailing and tracing the images.

Unfortunately, his notes and tracings were all destroyed when he fell into a deep cave pool. He has been unable to find the chamber again, though he returns to the cave system often to try to located it again
