1986, Bostontown

TODAY IN BIGFOOT HISTORY! Responding to late night complaints that some person or persons is moving through the neighborhood pounding on the tarpaper sides of the row houses, Beat Cop, Michael Flaterly attempts to arrest, what he describes as “a Bigfoot.” Unable to subdue the monster himself, Flaterly radios for backup. When assisting officers arrive, they find a drunk Flaterly attempting to handcuff himself to a tree. In honor of this, Boston police in the Northeast Precinct pull a Flaterly every St. Paddy’s Day. Which involves trying to handcuff each other to trees while screaming like Bigfoots.
